We are three software developers that had a goal of being involved in building a primary school in rural Cambodia. Now that we have achieved that goal we are looking to do more work in the country! School Builders Unite!

Building a school on the other side of the world is a lot easier with a well-informed team! Our articles are intended to (1) keep readers informed of the current state of affairs in Cambodian education, and (2) help illuminate pain points and caveats for other school-building teams following in our footsteps, so that they may avoid some of the pitfalls we found along the way.

The Goal

To replace a disadvantaged school in rural Cambodia by building a brand new educational facility in the village which supports the existing student population, while adding classrooms, bathrooms, teachers, administration staff, meal plans, and student-attendance incentive programs.

Our Team

We are volunteer educators who believe that education is a child’s basic right, regardless and transcendent of gender and economic status. Our mission is to empower rural communities with brand new educational facilities and build a better world, one student population at a time.
